Abstract   A pseudolymphoma is histopathologically defined as benign natured extranodular tumor-like lymphoid hyperpfasia and the origin of pseudolymphoma is not known but the prognosis is gen- erally good with conservative treatment. Especially, the stomach is one of the most common site of pseudolymphoma and the relationship between pseudolymphoma and malignant lym- phoma is not well elucided, but after operation the malignant change of pseudolymphoma was occassionally reported. The hypothesis that peudolymphoma is not simply hyperplasia but the process to change to malignancy in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue and the aspect that pseudolymphoma is considered as a precursor of malignant lymphoma were produced. We experienced a gastric malignant lymphoma occured from pseudolymphoma in a 55 vear- old-female patient. She have had total gastrectomy and esophagoje#iunostomy due to 8 3 cm sized gastric pseudolymphoma from body to prepyloric area along the less curvature in 6 years ago. On admission laboratory finding showed pancytopenia in peripheral blood and abdominal computerized tomography revealed diffuse periaortic lymph node enlargement. Then large cell type malignant lymphoma was diagnosed by fine needie aspiration for abdominal mass and bone marrow aspiration with biopsy.
